Working with an experienced makeup artist to create a look for your wedding should be a fun and exciting journey, developing ideas together to achieve the vision for your big day.
Unlike a makeup counter experience from one brand, I’m skilled in the latest techniques across a wide range of products, guiding you to make choices about what will work best based on your dress, hair, wedding party, venue and event timings.
Styles, techniques and products change all the time, what doesn’t change is having a sense of confidence in working with a professional, taking the stress out of what can be a busy lead up and wedding day itself.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your wedding day might be your first time working with a makeup artist so I’ve set out below what you can expect in working with me. This is just a guide to give you an idea of the process and I’m always keen to speak to you to understand your plans and how I can help.
Deciding how you want to look and feel on your big day
Go on social media to find inspiration
Look in magazines to gather images of what you like.
If you have no idea, that’s cool too, I will work alongside you to create the perfect look just for you!
Booking for your wedding day
To confirm your booking your retainer payment is made to secure your date. This is 50% of the total wedding day booking fee.
Wedding day makeup trials
In almost all instances, a trial is necessary.
The purpose of the trial is to get to know you, your style, how you want to feel on your wedding day and to assess your skin care needs. Trials are a partnership, where we’ll begin by talking over your ideas and any inspiration you’ve gathered so far.
Trials are completed in my studio where I have full access to all my products and I am able to give you the best experience possible.
Trials are recommended 6-8 weeks before the wedding when you’ve locked in other details such as hair, dress and accessories as your makeup will need to work alongside each of these elements to create the overall look.
On the big day
Having confirmed a bridal make up look at the trial ensures a stress free wedding day for both of us, so we can enjoy getting your read for the day.
I provide detailed guidance to all my clients about the steps we need to take to ensure the best experience possible.
Sharing your day with me
My work ends really before the day properly begins so I love to receive photos from brides to see how the day has gone!
