Frequently asked questions

Having worked with clients for a long time, here are responses to some of the regular questions I get, of course you have any further, please do get in touch!

Do you travel?

Yes I travel for my work with clients when doing group bookings, call out travel fees apply. For trials these are completed at my studio.

Do you do a trial before the event?

In almost all instances yes. This ensures you’re clear on the look you want to achieve before your wedding or special occasion. I provide detailed guidance for clients on how to get the most out of trials once confirmed. Trials are held at my home studio typically for 90 minutes. Slots are usually available between 9am - 1pm, Monday to Thursday subject to availability, this is because I’m often booked with weddings outside of these times!

How long does it take to do the makeup?

I allow an hour for application per person. For trials I allocate an hour and a half to achieve your desired look.

What comes first, hair or makeup?

The best results are achieved if your hair is done first as styling products like hair sprays can affect your skin and make up, particularly in photos.

What products do you use?

I use a wide range of professional grade products and tools to achieve your final look. If you need any further information please get in touch.

Do you include false lashes?

For almost all bridal makeup I use false lashes, from individual lashes to full strips. If you’ve not tried them before or been frustrated in trying to apply them yourself, they’re a great way of accentuating your eyes. These are customised to achieve the look you desire. Do note that if you have a lash lift you will be unable to wear individual or full strip lashes as part of your final look.

Do you have a minimum number of people for wedding makeup?

During peak bridal season I work with a minimum of four people. I also have a large network of makeup artists I work alongside if there’s a need to involve further artists in your big day.

Do you support makeup for the LGBT+ community?

Yes! I’m sometimes asked this question and the answer is of course yes but wanted to reassure anyone wanting bridal makeup or any makeup service from me.

How do I secure a date with you?

To confirm your booking your retainer payment is made to secure a date. This is 50% of the total wedding day booking fee.

How do you accept payment?

You can make payment via electronic transfer or cash on the day.
